I belong to the dive singles group, and we all have to sign a simple waiver. Chuck Tribolet would be able to tell you how they came up with that particular waiver.

Actually, I can't. That waiver predated me joining in 1996.

As far as new buddies go, get to know them, and trust your instincts. You'll probably
have more problems with style than with them being dangerous or some kind of pervert.
The most important thing about a new buddy is to agree on the buddy team rules, and
stick to the agreement. Whether the rules are "same ocean", or
"joined at the hip, search one minute and ascend safely if separated", it's a recipe for
disaster if you don't agree on the rules, and stick to it.

Funny enough, after I posted that I thought "Nah, I'll probably frankenstein something out of some I could wrestle from dive shops/clubs." Lawyers never reinvent the wheel.... :D
