How about somebody boat me out there or meet me at the road to caddy my gear?

I emailed Scuba News to put this in their next issue. What else planning do we need to start doing for this? Who is bringing what for the cookout? SOmeone want to post directions? Im going to notify the local shops and groups as well. Maybe we can set up Emerald Coast to take the pontoon over for those who dont want to walk or park.

Now that would be a great idea. If you are going to make 2 or 3 dives and have a cookout on the beach, that is alot of gear to carry. I wind up not finding a parking spot near the beach access so I have to carry my gear a ways before I even start the long haul to the beach.

Cookout will be at Henderson State Park from what I understand. The diving will be at the jetties, thats all

As many as it takes to get enough crabs for you and your party to eat

Hmmmm...I guess that means I will have to get a party to grab me...ummm I mean for me

Just one dive at the Jetties for me at least. Im looking into a boat dive for Sunday.

That's a 3 hr drive one way for me. It wouldn't be worth it for one dive, especially if it involved lugging my gear from the parking lot. I'll have to see what everyone else is planning before I can commit to that.

I've got this one penciled into my calendar. (I also have about 4 others penciled in, so it may come down to "which ones do I chose"). Once I get my schedule firmed up a bit more, I will be able to say for sure.

Is there a reason the cookout would be at Henderson (other than creature comforts)? Just wondering....
