Halemano, could you give more detail. I would ask for video and maybe a time reference in said video.
I am trying to understand where the course change occurs and how you can tell all this from such scant info. I hope you are not going to reference that video from the BB. That ship was moving! But don't let that stop you please explain.
See you topside! John

This is a typical response from you in this thread. Did you manage to read my entire post? :mooner:

For some reason, I have been discussing the ramming of the Ady Gil, but at times I have been forced to comment on the preceding years of this particular, ongoing, Antarctic conflict. I have confined my comments on what I have searched for to the things I actually search for, unlike some. :idk:

So why would they be any less likely to endanger lives in the Antarctic than they have in numerous other areas? How very naive if you think so...

Once again, as in almost every case this thread where you quote one of my posts, you then speak of things that do not pertain to my post you quoted.

I know quite a few people who dealt pot and cocaine in college who are now Medical Doctors, Lawyers, City Managers even Government Scientists, but that does not prove they will be high on pot or cocaine when they next go to work.

In the Antarctic skirmishes over the last few years between the Japanese Whalers and the Sea Shepherds I find no charges filed against the Sea Shepherds that involve any human life endangerment. I actually find no charges filed in these skirmishes whatsoever. I would be oh so happy to have you find what I can not with regards to the topic of discussion.

And you do not really address any of my points at all in yours :)

I do not think drug dealing is comparable to skipping a country to escape SEVEN attempted murder charges.

Also, it doesn't prove they WON'T be high on pot or cocaine when they next go to work. :wink:

And your point in this is what exactly? I think Geoff_H covered a response to your initial post quite well, so interested to hear of your response :) (And response to all the other arguments people have put forward about why Sea Shepherd are a bunch of incompetent eejits)

Everyone on here but YOU clearly say both are at fault but you!! However you are providing everyone with much amusement here:D

Yes I can see that you and the mostly pub crawler crew like to have recent viewers believe that, but many of you have also said that even though the AG was run down it was their fault because of their actions earlier in the day, so what you are saying here is the same circular argument most of you have been using.

1. the AG with premeditation suicidally rammed the unsuspecting Whaler.

2. if they didn't and really did get rammed by the whaler it's still their fault for harassing them earlier in the day.

What I have been saying is in the minutes leading up to and including the collision, the Whaler is obviously the aggressor and is guilty of numerous violations of maritime law.

The long version of the video shot from the AG is the most damning, but I also posted a link to a three way split screen video with all the video evidence running in sinc.

I am not the only person in this thread who sees it this way, but not surprisingly none of the following members frequents the pub to the same extent as most of the SS faulters.

I will list post #'s where their stand on the ramming is made clear; some members slowly show their hand over the course of a few posts; post 310 is when the first long video from the AG is introduced to this thread.

cdreamer - posts 310, 318, 320, 344, 359
Wookie - 313, 325
mfinley - 386
Doc Harry - 390, 419, 467, 555
DCBC - 473, 562, 564, 570, 581

I am honored to stand with this group who are not afraid to call it like they see it. I am only here for my own entertainment; I have never been to the pub and now I don't have to go to see how one can have 10 times the posts than dives and e3ven more thanks. :idk:

Oh yea of course, Scubaboard posts saying that the whalers did it constitutes great evidence doesn't it! Oh please...

How is this relevant to the discussion? It just makes you look petty and makes others more likely to dismiss your arguments without serious consideration. I mean, I'm trying here, but you have presented nothing of substance to support your arguments.

Hanmano what video do you use to see the change in course?
See you topside! John

I use the long video from the Ady Gil. As the crew are chatting, waving, celebrating, basking, idling, look behind them. You will see the Whaler vessel swing port to get away from a similar course as the Ady Gil, then swing starboard to make the attack approach, then swing a little port to come along side, but cutting it too close and possibly wave surged to starboard, then turning more port as the Ady Gil may or may not forward thrust (could have been the water from the water cannon that caused the alleged thrust).

If the Whaler had not made the course corrections and come in for water cannon and acoustic disruptor attack on the at idle and not currently harassing Ady Gil, the collision would not have happened. The too close approach of itself is a violation of maritime rules and the fact that the collision and obvious endangerment to the Ady Gil crew happened will only result in more serious charges against the whaler Captain.

OK, searched some more. This one that was down for a while is back up;

And another with three way split screen of impact;

Exactly, since you can not speak to the issue of just who is to blame for the collision, and have to bring in a whole bunch of non related stuff rather than looking at the three videos of the collision, I have not been addressing your not on topic posts.

if the Ady Gil hadn't been out there harrassing the whaler and trying to foul it's props with nets... the collision would have never happened either.
