Canada wins the Olympics!!!

Big deal. All it was was the NHL all star game replayed. I was rooting for Latvia. they didn't have any NHL bums that I know of playing.

This is an ancient story.....but for those of you who might have missed it.


And then God Created Canada:



And on the sixth day God turned to Archangel Gabriel and said: "Today I shall create a land called Canada! It will be a land of outstanding natural beauty. It shall have tall majestic mountains full of mountain goats and eagles, beautiful sparkling lakes bountiful with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, high cliffs over-looking sandy beaches with an abundance of sea life, and rivers stocked with salmon."

God continued, "I shall make the land rich in oil, natural gas, precious metals and minerals so as to make the inhabitants prosper, I shall call these inhabitants Canadians, and they shall be known as the most friendly, kind, and warmhearted people on the earth."

They will welcome the disenfranchised, the wretched, the poor, and offer them excellent education, health care, and fair treatment.

They shall fight for freedom throughout the world, and they will be welcomed.

"But Lord," asked Gabriel, "don't you think you are being too generous to these Canadians?"

"Not really," replied God, "just wait until you see the neighbours I am going to give them."

Looks like Canada won 14 events, more than any country in every winter olympics ever

Yeah, lets see, this whole Olympic games where about Canada having "home field" advantage. They built insanely difficult courses for many of the sports, and at least twice had to make course changes because of safety. Then they limited the use of the facilities to outside athletes. If we can't beat them, lets try to kill them. Oh wait, they did kill one All that for only 3 sliding sports medals.

The US hockey was the best team in the tournament. We just beat Canada on the wrong night. Both teams where 5-1, it could have gone either way. And for Hockey to be such a Canadian sport there are only 6 out of 30 NHL teams in Canada.

So congrats to Canada, enjoy the hockey gold, we will take our 37 medals home, the real winners of the Olympics.
