Well we did use the extra slippery ice but shhhhh

And we were able to manage that because we have a secret......the wettest water ever

While I'll agree it's good to have all your conspirancy theories ready to go in case of a loss I have to draw the line at getting your news from the Colbert report :shakehead:

Some additional reasons fppf can use for the loss are:

The Canadians served beer with a higher alcohol content thus "slipping a mickey" to the yanks.

The Canadian hockey program is actually the thin edge of the wedge for global socialism.

Roberto Luongo is actually a cyborg clone.

OK, I blew my monthly allotment of thanks button pushies... Whew!

PS. I do believe 9 out of ten Canadians will be calling in sick tomorrow with the 26oz flu.

Go ahead sir, you deserve it!

Yeah, lets see, this whole Olympic games where about Canada having "home field" advantage. They built insanely difficult courses for many of the sports, and at least twice had to make course changes because of safety. Then they limited the use of the facilities to outside athletes. If we can't beat them, lets try to kill them. Oh wait, they did kill one :( All that for only 3 sliding sports medals.

The US hockey was the best team in the tournament. We just beat Canada on the wrong night. Both teams where 5-1, it could have gone either way. And for Hockey to be such a Canadian sport there are only 6 out of 30 NHL teams in Canada.

So congrats to Canada, enjoy the hockey gold, we will take our 37 medals home, the real winners of the Olympics.

Waaaaaaaa!!!!

I thought it was somewhat ironic that we played an overtime period (basically, a 4th period) against the US.

I'm pretty sure most US viewers fully expected there to be a "4th quarter" and saw nothing unusual about it...aside from the fact that it ended rather abruptly before time ran out.

:rofl3:
Meh, only if they don't watch hockey or listen to the announcers.
