This was an amazing thread and terrific story. 20/20 will no doubt be calling Paul soon!

Thanks again Paul - GREAT JOB!

I'd like to suggest this thread be made a "Sticky," so it remains prominently placed and available as an example of the good that can come when people work and think toward a common goal. It really has been both compelling and inspirational watching this evolve.

I would like to thank you all for your help finding us and I've read all the posts on 29 pages and it was real fun and interesting to read. I was surprised in how everybody wanted to help Aquahound in returning the camera to it's owner by mailing to friends who work in aviation or by googling for words etc. Great how you all worked together! I hope we will never loose a camera again but if we do I know who to contact haha. The turtle was fun too, it gave an extra touch to this story. I will never forget this and a great story to tell everyone. Thanks guys (and girls)!

Greetings Mandy

You are welcome! This was awesome team effort and I am proud I was contributing at least a bit with useful information :) (finding website, got airport/plane info :)

Glad you got your camera back. Thanks AquaHound for moving this along!

Dear Auquahound and all other members who helped to solve this mistery,

I'm the person standing on the right sight in front of the pick up. Beside me is Dick de Bruin, he's the owner of the camera.
I've read all reviews about this searh and was positive surprised about all the effort everybody did put in this search.
It was a lot of fun to see/read that you all came closer and closer to the solution.
About the pick up : I'm driving this because it comes with my job as general manager with Perle d'Or/Pam Pam. Perle d'Or is a complex for interns from Holland and beside the interns we rent hotelrooms. Pam Pam is our bar/restaurant which is located on the same property.
The sign on the pick up says wereldstage.com. This a company on Curacao and they place students on Curacao. One of the owners of the company where I'm working opened under the flag of Curacao a wereldstage on Aruba. This company stopped about 4 years ago but the pick up did stay with the other (Perle d'Or) company. It's typical the Aruban way to wait such a long time to change the sign on the pick up to the other company......:coolingoff:
And no, I had no trouble with my boss about using the pick up for private use.

Aquahound : if you ever come to our One Happy Island please let me know so I can buy you a beer (or two/three...).
