So ever since I took my discover scuba class a few weeks ago, literally all I dream about every single night is diving. Diving lakes and oceans and wrecks and reefs and everything else I can imagine. The funny thing is I have never dove or even snorkeled in open water so I have NO clue what it actually looks like down there- but my brain seems to think it does by compiling movies and visits to the aquarium! :wink: I havent even signed up for my open water class yet! Has scuba taken over anyone elses dreams?
:dork2:

Diving is one of those things, I grew up in NY not even close to the ocean, but we had a pool and I would snorkel in the pool fighting sharks, blowing up submarines, ect; ect;

A year ago I straightened some things out and as a reward to myself I got certified while living in Turkey. I moved to Spain, live on the coast and recently got my own equipment. Unfortunately it is winter, and I'm on nights so it is slowing down operation buceo but come spring I'll be hitting the water regularly.

Once again, welcome, have fun, find a good instructor, get your cert, and lurk around this place. This place is full of info and some great people that share their experience and tips with the newbs.

Well when I am not working I am dreaming of being under water, or counting down how long till my next opportunity to get in. I keep all my gear in my truck so that I can get in the water anytime an opportunity arises. Last winter I got the urge to go in the middle of January, so I drove to the beach, suited up and went in for about 20 minutes.

When I feel the need to "dream in ... scuba" and hear my bubbles .... but I can't make it to the real ocean .... I just launch the simulator and go for a virtual dive :D .... (no need to clean gear after that :wink:)

I've been certified since July, and I cant remember having a scuba dream.

Maybe Oklahoma lakes are just nothing to dream about...

Due to this seemingly never ending recession, the only diving I've been doing lately is in my dreams! *sigh* :depressed:

Hi Magan! I'm so glad you came here to get more info. I have learned so much from reading this website all the time. I can completely relate to what you're saying. I was certified about 4 years ago, dove several times in 1 year, then didn't do it again for 2 1/2 years. When I went back for my refresher course I was constantly thinking about it. I would wake up and it was the first thought on my mind. I love being under water! I love seeing the creatures that are there. It's just amazing! I can't wait to hear about your classes and experiences...I think you'll have a lot to share :)

I just have to say...I'm jealous.

I usually transcend diving when working.
Now I might dream a plane ticket to Norfolk.

I just got my OW cert two weeks ago and since then I've had the most vivid dreams scuba diving. I wake up every morning and have the strongest urge to call in sick and go diving :D
