I'm just glad to be only 45 mins away so I can drive over there and peruse the selections before I decide what I should use the gift cert on; however, the only problem is that I usually end up having to dig in my wallet because I can't seem to spend only the amount on the gift card.

Regarding gear, I just buy my own and hide the credit card statement from my beloved wife - some things are left better buried.
