Planning a trip this Feb to Curacao.......a bit last minute but what the hell. Looking for some lodging and diving advice. Been to Bonaire several times, love shore diving but was looking for a slightly different island experience. Would like to be on the water, love being able to roll out of bed and dive. No opposed to a driving, I understand it's a larger island than Bonaire. Want an apt w pool and within relative proximity to a few place for food/drink and dive shop. We don't need fancy but this is not a guys fishing trip either......wife happy, me happy. All help appreciated.

Should say not opposed to driving, in fact we will rent a car/truck.......advise here would aslo help. thanks

Perhaps best to email Caradonna and see what they can do for you at this late date...

Check Scubalodge, a small hotel run by two divers along the South-East coast of the island. Town within driving distance and even walking distance. Check their website: The Scuba Lodge Curaçao. Their house reef is quite nice and there are several other dive sites close by (requires driving): Tugboat at Baya, Car pile at Marie Pampun, Superior Producer wreck.
Another option is Kura Hulanda Lodge at Westpunt, the most Western part of the island. Not much entertainment close-by and probably far more expensive. Their house reef is Alice in Wonderland and the dive op is Ocean Encounters West. Website: Curacao Beach Resort | Lodge Kura Hulanda and Beach Club | Curacao Resort
Nearby, but I don't know if they have a pool, is All West apartments & Diving: ..:: All West Apartments & Diving, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles ::..

I have stayed at both The Lodge Kura Hulanda and All West and have been very pleased with both locations. The LKH has more of a resort feel to it with beautiful landscaping and pool. All West is more spartan but the ocean views and dive convenience are unbeatable. One thing to consider is that if you book at All West, I believe you can purchase 'day passes' to hang out at the LKH pool etc. I cannot remember what the cost was, but it was reasonable.

We just booked a Feb trip and staying at Nos Krusero since All West was booked. This will be my first stay at Nos Krusero but they are right across the street from OEW.

Hi Pa diver,

There are a lot of possibilities for last minute. You can book a fancy hotel or appartment. If you're renyting a car it's not necessary to have a Dive shop on the location. And by the way we have a pick-up service and travel to different divespots. Most of them have a beach for the non-divers to enjoy. But we also visit the spots where divers normally don't come.

Our focus is on shore diving, which is what we specialise in, but it applies for boat diving too should you choose to go that way.

If you need any other info like pricelist or special activities, please feel free to PM me.

Happy planning.
