For Springfest or Vortoberfest we center activities at Vortex Spring. The important thing is for you to reserve a campsite or room. I see that you have done that. We gather in groups to dive either of the Jetties, Cypress, Morrison, and Vortex. Cavers also hit some of the pristine spots. For Cypress you will have to bring a canoe or rent one in Vernon.

Carolyn (Lives4sharks) usually books an offshore trip out of Panama City on Saturday morning.

I think that 4CBBQ was the choice for the Friday feed last time. Sally's is also good but sometimes has overcrowding and slow service on Fridays. On Saturday we light a large amount of charcoal with sausages of every vintage and you can cook the entree of your choice. We ask that you make it known before you cook shrimp or lobster as there are some folks allergic.

Saturday evening is also filled with dancing and great music provided by Johnny Mac and his wonderful bride Tamilynn. Bone up on your favorite Karaoke piece...

All are welcome but shyness is not allowed. If you are interested in a dive venture or a particular activity barge right in and invite yourself. Also, any other questions please ask. And - watch this thread as time nears...

Bring your sense of humor and come prepared to dive, socialize, eat, dive, socialize and have fun.... There are no don'ts at springfest...

YEAH! :D We have our campsite booked! I'm so excited. This will be James and I's first go around with any of the festivities. Please advise me on what we should expect and what we need to bring in order to contribute to ensure that this trip is both fun and memorable. Any advice on the do's and don'ts of springfest life would be really welcomed. Thanks.

Probably one of the best Karaoke songs we have is Carolyn singing "All that Jazz." Were you aiming at her or just jazz music in general? Inquriing minds want to know...

I request you leave all songs with the words Jazz in it at home!!!

I was just stirring the pot! I think Carolyn has a fantastic voice and I was shocked at how well she performed "All that Jazz" the first several times I heard it.....

Sadly, I have to say it is looking like I will not be able to attend Springfest this year. :depressed:
If things change, I will be there in a heartbeat, New York minute, pronto, lickety-split, like white on rice, .... You get the idea.
Damn, this SUCKS!:(
