I am getting married in late December. For our Honeymoon we are taking a cruise to Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel. We selected this cruise because of the dive spots. However, the dive excursions in Cozumel are all booked up. Does anyone know of a dive op that is good to book with when on a cruise?

Ok just a word of caution here and its only just a beware comment not to scare you but when you book an excursion outside of the cruise lines you are risking getting left behind. Not that this will happen but its a possibility. Now that that part is over check with Sand Dollar Sports. they are a fairly great dive company. Since its a dive mecha you will find a good chunk of tourism there relies on divers :)

Depends on what time your boat arrives and leaves. PapaHoggs, my favorite, and others are just up the street from the docks. Most of them go out for drift dives mornings and noonish. Taxis are like fleas and once you are off the boat it's a matter of ten minutes to get to one of the operators. Go to the Coz forum and ask/look around. Also, Google 'Cozumel Scuba Diving'.

Scuba club Cozumel. Cruise ships use them as well. Highly recommended.

Blue Angel has a larger boat that goes out with a lot of cruise folks aboard.

Congrats - and nice itinereary!

Ditto on Blue Angel, http://www.blueangelresort.com/ the larger boat, "No Problem", specifically caters to cruise shippers and folks coming over from the mainland and leaves at round 10:00am (ish)

they generally keep to the dive sites that aren't too far south and bottom times to 45min. so they can keep to a schedule, and no one misses thier boat. I think lunch is included in the deal, but don't hold me to it.

a couple other choices...

& ditto on the "congrats and nice itinereary" part also :D

That's a good cruise for dive location stops.

Alison posts on this board so you should be able to PM her.
