Is there any interest in a Goodman style handle for the DRIS 1000 and 500 lights?

Different application, but I've been using this $13 Fenix Bike Mount to attach the DRIS lights to my GoPro rig:

Looks nice and simple.

You will probably need some tabs or brackets to keep the "platform" from rotating in relation to the handle. I would also rotate the platform 180° so the bolt "ears" face into the handle. That should leave some room at the top of the handle slot to tie in a bolt snap.

Here is an updated look. I removed the top plate as suggested and flipped the bottom part over.

This saves about $7. This gets the price into the $45 range.

I didn't position the light platform the other way because I thought it wouldn't be good to have the nuts near your hand. (I know how that sounds)
In the current design the hand area is relatively unobstructed.

I am trying to figure out the easiest way to keep the platform from rotating. Originally I had 2 screws on each side and 2 slots. I went down to one so I could use a larger screw.
We could just put a lock washer between the 2 handle pieces to keep them from rotating after it is all assembled.

Further updates:

I changed to 2 screws in the side to avoid the platform twisting.

I also keyed the bottom of the upside U light holder into the slot so it won't twist either.

This should still be under $50 I think.

I'm interested, it looks very nice.

Any estimate on shipping weight?

Looks like approx. .45 pounds weight.

It should fit in a small flat rate priority mail box un-assembled.

I think I might flip the bracket back over and add the plate back so that it gets the light up off your hand some. I am afraid that if the light is flat on top of your hand it might interfere with your wrist too much.

I am interested. Keep me posted.

I'm surprised DIRS hasn't chimed in on this. My suggestion when I bought my first 500 lumen light was, "Where's the light sock?"
This is way much better than the Oxy universal sock I bought and not much more expensive. Needless to say, I'm interested in obtaining one.
