i am not a Doctor, so personal opinion only ( which may have no medical validity). I have MS and have logged over 1000 dive since diagnosis. MS affects everyone differently, Best advice I could give is to discuss your plans with your Neurologist and a DAN dive doctor.

Personally, with the typical symptoms including: suseptibility to heat, fatigue and cognitive changes; I would reconsider any diving beyond non- deco rec limits. If anything a more consevative profile may be safer. I always dive with an EAN mix of 32%. However I set my computer to 21% and set the depth alarm to 30 metres.

I also, on advice of dive doctor, always dive with at least 2 other divers, who are aware of my condition. The concern was if my buddy needed rescuing would I have, for example, the strength for a long surface swim whilst towing them?

Again my opinion only, based on my experience, so may be different for you.

I don't have MS, but I have a demyelinating disease similar to MS. My neurologist is an MS specialist. He is also an experienced diver and encouraged me to go ahead with getting my certification. I'm glad I did.

Still staring at the passing fish from below. Great.
MS is taking its toll but the fortress still resists.
Cheers mates.
