Yes, it is. :(

OMG!! I found him, thanks to you!! I'm stunned as I've looked for him before (obviously not in the right place)

I'm kinda shook up

Thank you so much!
Glad you found the info on him! I had the same reaction myself.

I think the archives were only made public in the last few years.

We did a Veterans/Remembrance Day dive yesterday, November 11. We removed the poppies before the dive, though.

Every Year for as long as I can remember I always attend Veterans Day ceremonies held on our local pier to honor my friends and unknown others who paid the ultimate price for our freedom-

It is a special day for me. My dear wife says I am rather morose until 11 minutes after 11 O'clock

In our own way we all stood at attention during the posting of the colors and the Pledge of Allegiance - Some had to be supported by friends or relatives or tightly grip the backs of their wheel chairs or supported by canes buit we all stood at attention …'

Not one knee was placed on the ground

I thank you for creating this thread and especially salute your dear father for his bravery and service to this great country

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
