Ok, I am not stupid, but is the SP 350 supposed to have a way to charge the battery that came with it, or do I have to buy a battery charger? There doesn't seem to be a cord or a place to plug anything in!

The battery that comes with it is a one time only, non-rechargeable that you throw away.

What he said. And you should buy a couple of rechargeable CRV lithium batteries and charger rather than using AA batteries. The lithiums last much longer on a charge.

Radio Shack has a pretty decent price on the CRV3 rechargeable. I took a pair of them with me to Utila last month and they worked great. Oh yeah, both batteries came with thier own chargers. There was a car charger and a wall plug as well...not bad for aboout 4
