I don't think there is much difference if you compare xenon to xenon and I don't think they have a 6 cells eled.
But as a backup light, you may want to consider this... 6 C cells vs 4 C cells.

The Xenon and eLed light bodys are the same so either would work for this Mod.

Correct! The awesome thing is that this mod in a SL4 puts out more light than Oxycheq's backup (IR2 I believe, the one that is supposedly brighter than a 10W HID), at half the cost and it is only a bit bigger.

Marchand, any melting problems? I have those emitters in all 4 of my SureFire 6Ps (and in my 618FA), but in those at least they can dissapate heat through the aluminium body.

I tried this but 1.5" OD tube is too big for my SL4's housing. The original is just over 1.3" (and 3/8" thick) so I'm going to try 1.25".

You know what, I think it actually was 1.25" OD pipe giving it a 1/8" wall. My bad.

I saw an r2 and q5 drop in also will they work and if so are they better?
