Can someone tell me if the p-valve that comes with the Techniflex suit is of high quality or desireable design, or should I order the suit without a p-valve and install one from a different manufacturer at a later date?

What's the best type of p-valve to install?

It depends on what kind of valve you're looking for. I think USIA install Si-tech valves, and I think they're balanced.

If you prefer a straight hose to the outside world, you can install your own unbalanced.

I put one in my Techniflex and it was pretty easy to do using a soldering iron to melt a hole.

Obviously you're in better shape with a factory install if problems come up.
