Hey, say hi to Alison for me. Great boat & folks. I'd love to dive with them more if I didn't have to do cabs or rental cars. Care to set me up one day late in the week and pick me up? Would you like to go with us one day on the northern reefs? That's where you really want your own Sausage & reel, PLB, and maybe a helmet! I saw a power boat run over out sausage up there once. Stop, look, listen...!

"A nationwide festival celebrating Mexican Independence Day. On September 15 local residents and visitors congregate around the City Hall to participate in the traditional “grito,” or cry for independence.Led by the Mayor of Cozumel from the balcony at City Hall at 11:00 p.m., the cry “Viva Mexico” is made. Following the “grito” is an impressive fireworks display and other festivities including traditional foods as well as musical and folkloric dance performances.
On September 16, Independence Day, the celebrations continue with a parade that goes through Cozumel’s downtown waterfront. Throughout the week, residents and visitors are invited to visit a fair near the City Hall that includes food stands, games, dancing and shopping."

Ok, so maybe the first part was lifted from the Official Cozumel website in English and the second is a Google translate of the Cozumel Gov website, but anyway, if you didn't know this will be a cool time to be in Cozumel.

Yeah, I was thinking the 20th. I'd rather get started with my Op when I first get there, then not move my gear but once. Gawd, what a lazy diver. It's not important - just an idea.

You interested in diving with us up north if I can arrange it on the 19th? Ideas...

Ill check, but I don't think there is room on the 20th. I think the 19th is the day I get to dive with some friends on the Maximus, so I don't think I can bail that day.

And you lazy diver. Might be easier if you had a friend who had a car and could pick you and your stuff up and move it around for you.....
