A friend and I are heading down to SoCal the weekend before, and were hoping to squeeze in some diving over the week, hopefully out to Channel Islands or Catalina if possible. Would appreciate if anyone could recommend some possible trips heading out during the week, or if there's none, recommendations for shore diving.

We're both advanced+, and used to diving in NorCal waters =).

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, looking into those sites now

Hi Mike,

Recommended itinerary would be heading out to Catalina, dive, then head back? Which dive shops would you recommended, and also, is staying on Catalina a good option? Thanks for your response!

thanks for the reply steve, we've organized a mini trip to catalina! but definitely next time

That's going to be a toughie trying to find a boat running weekdays this time of year. A lot of them are in drydock now getting bottoms put on and doing repairs.
Go to Catalina and shore dive the park, that's your best bet.

Sorry I missed this and couldn't respond earlier- Selky Charters runs a 6 pack out of Long Beach and can get you anywhere from PV to Catalina for single day diving almost any day of the week if you have enough divers. Confortable fast boat, and she has steel tanks on board.
