Headed to Catalina Island in a couple weeks for the day, and I am hoping to dive while there. Moderately skilled with over 100 Norcal dives (Monterey, Mendocino). Also 100 plus warmwater dives during vacations. looking for guidance and advice as I have never Dove Catalina Island and I will be travelling without my own gear. What would be the easiest one stop dive shop to get rental equipment and get in the water? just looking to get a couple dives in the marine park.

If you walk over to the dive park, Catalina Diver’s Supply is located in the bottom floor of the casino, the storefront is less than 100 yards to the stairs into the water. They can take care of everything you need including air fills while you have a surface interval. They have an online reservation system for equipment. If you need a guide, they have those as well. Let me know if you have any other questions. T

Thank You. That is what I have found so far in my research also. just looking for other opinions and reviews.

CDS is now spread out. You check in at the shop, get weights from another door, and then tanks are in a separate outdoor shed. My fills were both light and they don't guarantee to have steel tanks. Don't get me wrong, it's fine, but not as good as it used to be.

You may not go with this option since it is more costly and they don't do just equipment rentals, but have a look here: SCUBA TOURS | CATALINA SCUBA | DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING | GUIDED DIVE CATALINA
They rent high-quality Atomic regs, and their van is actually more convenient than Catalina Diver's Supply since it's also at the point and you don't have to schlep your tanks and weights. Also, BP/W BCDs! If you've not been to the park before, having someone to navigate is really handy, they know where the big black bass hang out.
