I'm sure others have already noticed, but anyone who's been looking to buy a new drysuit, set of regulators, or any other big items: check out UK retail sites. With the British pound so low right now, even with international shipping most of the European brands are almost half the price of what they'd be bought in the US. Top of the line drysuits like Santi, which sell for $3000 in the US, are selling for only $1900, Apeks regs are half the US price, etc. :)

Great time for anyone looking for fancy new gear.

Interesting... I have been thinking about ordering a SeaSkin suit. Might have to check out current pricing.

I'm heading to UK in a few weeks anyway, was thinking of shopping for a few things due to the exchange rate swing, dive gear wasn't (UNTL NOW) on that list.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Don't forget about the import duties coming back into the US. I deal with imports/duties for my job. I just looked it up on CBP's website, and dry suits should have a 6.5% duty, but it can depend on HTS number the CBP officer assigns at passenger control. It's not under sporting goods, but under garments with a waterproof exterior.

how much in USD and where can you get an Apeks regulator set from a reputable UK online site? Apeks XTX50/DST?

I recently bought an Apeks XTX50 / XTX40 combo from The ONLY Specialist Apeks Site in the UK. In stock for fast despatch., and am very happy with the product and price.

I didn't have such a good experience with this store. Purchased Apeks RK3 fins, filled all fields, sent a payment and only later received an email from them that they didn't ship these to Europe. I guess, they streatch the BREXIT a tad too far. They said, they will reimburse my payment, but it never arrived.
