New here, although I've been reading/lurking for a few years, learning as much as I can.
I've been diving a handful of years, primarily in the Northeast US. I wanted to dive since childhood, but opportunity didn't present itself until later on in life. It came through a chance to get into underwater archaeology, since I've been working in the field on land few a few decades. Underwater archaeologists had tried to get me to dive when I was younger, but I couldn't afford the gear/lessons at the time, since my entire income at the time was my stipend and the grants I could write.
At this point, I'd say 90% of my diving has been doing archaeological work of some stripe, most of the rest was the dive classes.
So anyway, hello.
