I just don't log dives
I was supposed to fly out tomorrow morning to go and complete my tec 40/45 with my local instructor. Due to a situation, he isn’t able to make it down to Key Largo.

ive done the book work and I’m working on the final parts of the test, which leads me to my question; Are there any instructors that anyone can recommend down in SoFlo or Key Largo/other keys?

I’d like to salvage this trip as much as possible as I’ve already planned a lot around it, so canceling really isn’t an option. If it means I have to pay for another instructor to do this, I’m ok with it as I’m sure I can just apply everything I spent towards another class or something with my original instructor.

If a tec instructor isn’t available, I’m ok with just diving but since I have not had months to plan this, I’m apparently going to have to wing it overnight and see what I can come up with.

Any help is quite welcome as I’m just trying to salvage a few good days of diving instead of doing nothing.

Getting a PADI tec instructor at a last minute might be hard.

But as long as the weather is good diving is easy.

I can give a strong recommendation to Aqui Watersports in Ft. Lauderdale. My buddy and I took a class with them and were really impressed with their knowledge and skills.

Oops, sorry I failed to recognize the PADI requirement. Thanks @Manatee Diver! In that case, you might check with Pura Vida divers in W. Palm beach. Also really great folks!

Yeah, I figured this would be the case but it’s a long shot. I just don’t want to be out a trip. I mean, diving is great in Florida when the weather is good so I’d just have to find different groups ready to go, etc

I’m also not opposed to go different routes with other agencies. I just really thought it would be easier since I’ve done the majority of the book work.

What agency do they represent?

I know AQUI does TDI, maybe a couple of others, but pretty sure not PADI.

You'll find that TDI probably has the biggest presence in South Florida, they are local, and TBH are pretty much taking over from all the tech agencies even outside of South Florida.

I’m fine with TDI. I just need a recommendation or something so I know where to start looking
