I often dive and cycle on the same day -- but the more nitrogen loaded I am/will be (the closer to the NDL) the bigger time gap and more gently I ride. For shallow diving my reading indicated regular training should be ok after a few hours.

If you're not happy with the Zenas and look at BP/W (yay, by the way :D ), I'd like to point out that DiveRite, OxyCheq, and Deep Sea Supply all have short backplates. Much more comfortable on my 5'4" frame.
