Thanks everyone for the input. We were unable to secure the Aggressor boat, as there was a big rush due to one of the liveaboards shutting down. We are on the Humboldt Explorer, however, and really looking forward to our trip. I hope to get a ton of awesome hammerhead photos!

I have booked a trip on the Galapagos Explorer, and am wondering if the land tours they do are comprehensive enough to skip doing an extra extension after leaving the liveaboard. Would our time be better spent in mainland Ecuador? Does anyone have any experience with this, or suggestions? Thanks.

I agree, the Hero 3 Black has awesome low-light abilities, far better than my HD2. Loved the first song for the Manta dive...nice. That person in front of you looks like they're hyperventilating though! So many bubbles!
