    Puerto Morelos or Akumal, Mexico

Not to go against the grain on this one, but I think a week in Puerto Morelos would be lovely!!! It's a small town but has some great quaint little restos and cafes. The shipwreck is AMAZING and there are some little known sites there that are really great. We took a group diving there...

    Roatan, Belize, and/or Cozumel??

Roatan has great, relaxed diving and dive sites are very close to shore! I noticed a lot of cruise ships there transported their people to West Bay to a beach club. Right next to that beach club you can find West Bay Divers (formerly Ocean Connections). Luke can help you get out diving and...

good diver operator in Playa del Carmen

Just a quick note, Abyss, Geofish, and Diversity are all taking online reservations but no longer have in-town shops. If you are interested in booking with them, make sure you contact them via email! All good shops in my opinion! PM me if you need more info or need another option ;)

    Brut SRB9110 service manual

Steve, It would be wonderful, really wonderful, if things worked that well down here as they do up there. Unfortunately, that is not the case. We ARE NOT the general public! We are an official dive center who worked with the official local Sherwood distributor to stock Sherwood regs as our...

    Brut SRB9110 service manual

Hey, sorry to bring this thread back up, but I am also looking for a manual for the new Brut! We bought these as our shop regs and are now dealing with a SUPER unresponsive local distributor who cannot get us the schematics nor the service kits!!! A repair seminar would be AWESOME, but we've...

    Online scuba in ON?

Hey guys! Hoping someone can point me in the right direction... I am looking for a Canadian based (to avoid crazy shipping fees) online scuba store that sells cave diving knick knacks like colored cookies (if I could find pink, it would be perfect!). I want to send my good friend in Toronto...

Three divers lose their lives at Chac Mool in Riviera Maya. 2 Brazillian, 1 Spaniard

First off,I would like to thank all the people mentioning how safe they felt in the Cenotes. The truth is that the safety record of the MUCH DIVED cenotes was pretty impeccable before this accident and people SHOULD feel safe (I would risk saying they are statistically safer than a lot of open...

Three divers lose their lives at Chac Mool in Riviera Maya. 2 Brazillian, 1 Spaniard

The local diving community was shocked and extremely saddened to hear this news this morning. From what I've heard from part of the rescue team was that they were indeed on a "Cave" line and it is believed they were on that line by mistake. This is causing major ripples in the cave diving...

    Diving off Cozumel from PDC

The only shops I know that run their own boats to Cozumel are Tank Ha and Dive Balam. The marine park permits over in Coz are very very difficult to get which is the main reason there are only 2 shops in town that do it. I think the main question is not so much safety but do you want some time...

Cancun, Riv Maya, Coz or PDC - I need a good resort with a great dive instructor - ?

My vote is for staying in Playa as well! You can't beat the central location with easy access to Cozumel, the cenotes, and Playa reefs. You are also centrally located for any ruins or parks that you want to visit. Let me know if you have any questions!!

    Playa Del Carmen operators?

YAY! One more Canuck to add to our Cenote mix!!! Ed, you me and Kitchener should do a maple leaf dive day!!! Gerry, maybe we will allow you to join as an honorary canuck, but only if you give us a real good deal!!! ;) Well boys, just let me know! I need some fresh water to wash off the salt...

    Mexican Riviera Dive Sites

WOW, you learn something new every day! I wiki-ed it and sure enough!!! Honestly I've never heard that before!!! I asked around when you posted the initial question and apparently my Mexican co-workers weren't aware of this term either. :) Now they've learned something new too!

    SBers in PLAYA

Hey Ed!! Happy to see you coming back! I've been itching for some Cenote time!! If you need a buddy for a day that I am off (usually Saturdays and sometimes Thursday or Friday), I would be up for joining you!! Last time I was in the caverns was November surprisingly enough!! See you soon!!

    Mexican Riviera Dive Sites

Can't offer any dive shop advice but just thinking you may want to change your title a little bit. The Mexican Riviera generally refers to the Caribbean coastline from Cancun down past Tulum. The towns you mention are Pacific side! It might help attract the right replies! A 5 mm with hood...
