I've been down to Cabo for one reason or another around 9 or 10 times in the past 10 years. I have around 60 – 70 dives in during that time. I have used 4 different shops. The aspect I find most amazing about the diving there is the variety of life. You just never know what you might see. I have...
The Solaris is in San Jose Del Cabo which is about a 45 minute drive from Cabo San Lucas. Amigos del Mar is located in Cabo San Lucas. I've dove with them on a couple of trips. Kevin the owner is not everyones cup of tea but he's extremely knowledgeable and if hes in the right mood will tell...
Get a bad burrito or what. Mexico is just like anywhere else. There area areas to avoid. If you want trouble, you will find trouble. If to use your common sense you will have the time of your life. Maybe its a good idea you stay away and leave some of the best diving in the world to rest of us
I was there last March and walked just about the whole town, which isn't very hard to do, and I didn't see anything related to diving. Never the less it's a beautiful spot. People say it is like Cabo was 25 years ago.
Go to Amigos del Mar and ask for Lorena. We dove with her last year and she was fantastic with my kids who were 13 and 15 at the time. You'll end up diving most of the sites mentioned above and will have a great time.
Please make sure you're 100% comfortable in the dry suit and have completed numerous dives to various depths before attempting wrecks like the Arabia or the FC. Youre going to have enough on your plate with out having to worry about buoyancy.
Be careful and enjoy some of the best diving...
Last year during that time I used Lands End Dive shop and will use them again the week after you leave. Small groups, decent equipment and Lorena the Dive Master (hope she is still there) was fantastic. She really took her time and pointed out tons of stuff that we would never have seen. She...
Has anyone dove at Cayo Ensenachos which I guess is on the north shore of Cuba. We are considering a week at the Royal Hideaway Ensenachos in mid April and was wondering about the diving.
Any information would help.
The best site up that way is the North Wall on Joe to start then over to the Grotto. Great vis and lots to see. You will need a boat. Sometimes Dean from the Shack has his boat up at Gordon's Bay marina.
