The first stage on my Blizzard is a balanced piston reg. The Aqualung is a balanced Diaphragm reg. My Sherwood Gemini is a mechanically balanced Octo. The AquaLung Core has a pneumatically balanced second stage, Can I use a mechanically balanced octo with a pneumatically balanced second...
I was thinking of buying a Aqua Lung Core which has a pneumatically controlled second stage. Will it work properly with a Sherwood Gemini which a mechanically controlled second stage? I read that you shouldn't mix the two different controlled second stages it could free flow.
I just got back from the Sea of Cortez. I was using my two YS-D2 strobe hooked to my Olympus OMD-EM1 Mark II. On the last dive I noticed that the strobe stop working. When I got back to the boat the front cover was burnt. I only had 24 dives on the strobes and now it is shot. I have been...
I got my YS-D2 strobes last night. I set the strobe up for B mode and everything worked great. I went through DS-TTL, Slave TTL and set the camera up for 1/64th and changed the EV from 1 to 32. At 1 there was very little light and at 32 it was a white out. Everything is good now. The YS-D1...
I just ordered the YS-D2 strobes from backscatter. I should have them tonight. I was reading the manual and it says you have to put the strobe in customized mode B. by doing this procedure. Do I need every time I shut the strobe off and change the batteries or does it stay in memory.
I just got back from Grand Cayman. I used my OMD EM1 Mark II with my Sea & Sea YS-D1 strobes.
I tried using TTL slave mode and DS-TTL and the strobe didn't fire correctly. My OMD EM5 would light up the world but with this camera it was intermittent. I would take five picture of the same coral...
I emailed Zen and they said the Olympus 12-50mm lens would fit behind the dome with no issues. I already have a Deepshots zoom gear for the Olympus 12-50mm lens and it works great on my Olympus housing. The zoom button does not work but I don't care. They said at the wide side it would be work...
No issues with the lens. With my XZ-2 it has a lot more vignette then my Inon 165 m67 so I have to zoom in 1/2 way before it clears up. I like my Inon better.
I just put a Nauticam CMC-1 up for sale. Here is the link

I just got the new Nauticam CMC-1 for my Olympus XZ-2. I am new to shooting macro. When have the camera set to wide it vignette a great deal. I have to zoom in .8 before it goes away. When I had the Inon UCL 165 m67 I didn't have to zoom in at all. It seems to focus real close but I am...
If you buy the LIMITED EDITION BACKPAC LCD it comes with the gorpro 3 deep diving case with the backdoor which is good to 191ft.
Its a little bigger than the 3+ but the latch and case is built a lot better.
I have been shooting my Olympus XZ-2 for about six months. I am looking to upgrade it and buy a wide angle lens.
Which on should I buy and why?
