    Diving in Kenya

I have just returned from a week in Nyali, north Mombasa. I dived with Buccaneer Diving and, like Mousy & B.Goodwill, I can thoroughly recommend them. I have dived in the Watamu and Diani Beach areas in previous trips to Kenya, and I must say Buccaneer was by far the best dive op I have come...

Bali early Oct - Menjangan, Penida, or Gilis? or...?

If you are keen on Menjangan, I can recommend Mimpi Resort near Pemuteran. I have stayed there and it is absolutely stunning. The Courtyard villas all have their own private hot spring tub. The resort is set in extensive beautifully landscaped grounds and there is an in-house dive centre. It...

    Dragonet Resort, Manado

Some friends of mine are planning a trip to Manado in October, staying at this resort. I am told it is fairly new and run by Dragonet Divers. I cannot find any information about the resort or the dive op anywhere. They have a website but it is devoid of any information. Can anyone help...

Bayahibe, DR - Any dive ops there do cave diving?

Does anyone know of any dive ops in the Bayahibe area that do cave dives eg. La Sirena, Padre Nuestro and Cueva Taino? I will be staying at the Oasis Canoa from 12 -19 May, hoping to dive with Dressel who are at the Iberostar, but I believe they don't do cave diving. I will also be on my own...

Recommendations for dive ops in Khao Lak?

Thanks very much for the info, Aquamarin. I have previously done a trip on the Queen Scuba but this time my buddy would prefer a resort-based holiday, hence day-trips instead.

Recommendations for dive ops in Khao Lak?

My buddy & I have booked a 2-week holiday to Khao Lak, staying at the Khao Lak Resort, 16th-30th April. We would like to dive Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon/Koh Tachai and of course the Similans. Can anyone recommend a good local dive op that do day-trips to these sites, preferrably one that does...

    How many days in Pemuteran?

Looks like you will have 8 days in Bali then, as 2 out of your 10 days' holiday will be spent flying from & back to Europe. If that is the case, then I would recommend a safari trip, taking in Pemuteran, Tulamben & Padang Bai. All the best diving in Bali are in or around those places. If you...

Where to go mid-november (from the UK, warm waters, low-budget)

What have you just found for £1895? Not Royal Evolution doing Sudan surely? It's not on the Aquatours website, at least I can't find it. Pray share ... Go on, you know you want to ;)

Where to go mid-november (from the UK, warm waters, low-budget)

I'm afraid flying to the above destinations from the UK is very expensive. There are no cheap packages either. You guys living in the US of A are very fortunate when it comes to choices of great diving destinations, in warm locations, close to home and at very affordable prices too.

    Subic Scuba College...

Somewhat off-topic but I'd like to join the many other posters in extending my congratulations to Andy. We're all assuming, if course, that the lucky lady said Yes! to his proposal ;) Andy - I think you should leave the SB riff-raff behind and have your wedding back here in lovely Devon...

    Sandals-Veradaro, Cuba Diving

Hi David, I have stayed in Varadero and dived there with Barracuda, which is one of the 2 local dive centres in the area. I did a couple of shore dives with some beginners - very disappointing. Viz not brilliant and hardly anything to see. I also did a full day trip to the Bay of Pigs, which...

Where and who to dive with in the Dominican Republic?

I don't know if the Paradisus Palma Real has its own dive centre but I believe that Paradisus hotels include free scuba diving in their all-inclusive rates, so your hotel should be able to arrange the diving for you. If not, you can try Promarine which Vladi has very helpfully suggested...

Where and who to dive with in the Dominican Republic?

Where are you going - north, south or east? Which resort are you staying at (if you know the name)?

    Dive Locations in Penang, Malaysia

Hi Shea If you wish to go diving from Penang (without having to fly off somewhere else), the only place to go is Pulau Payar in Langkawi,     <<     Langkawi Coral     >>           There are a number of tour agencies in Penang which organise trips to Pulau Payar. Most of the major...

    Diving in Guardalavaca, Cuba

I am going to Guardalacava on 14th July for a week's vacation, staying at the Sol Rio De Luna y Mares Resort on Playa Esmeralda. I believe the hotel has an in-house dive centre called Sea Lovers. Does anyone have any information on this dive op, eg. do they have good gear (or should I bring my...

    Tulamben and???

bqualls has the right idea. I suggest you contact some of Bali's better dive ops and ask them to arrange a dive safari tailored to your schedule, preference and budget. Tell them what you would like to see & do, both underwater (eg. wrecks, macro stuff, pelagics) and topside (eg. sight-seeing...
