My petrel 2 is becoming increasingly harder to turn on using the buttons you have to push REALLY hard. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a simple remedy or will it require repair?

Who is replacing the o-ring? You or your dive shop? Is it the correct o-ring? You need to be careful that the o-ring doesn’t fall out of place when assembling. If the yoke retainer is properly torqued and the o-ring is the correct size and properly installed it should really never fail.

The G260 is balanced so any variation in IP between those two first stages shouldn’t be noticeable or a problem. Nothing to worry about. Go for it!

And you probably payed a higher price for these at the time then some of the new value brands that may not even exist anymore. With the exception of the TV I’d be will to bet these items are still currently serviceable for the most part.
