Hi Lauren If you can only dive one day I definitely recommend the Yongala with Yongala dive. I live in Cairns and drive 5 hours regularly to do it. I love NC diving, have been out with Olympus a couple of times, fantastic! Happy diving :-)

I've been on the 4 day Minke trip with Diver's Den several times, the Ribbon Reef dive sites are very good and the Minke's are gorgeous. I have not been to Lady Elliot, but if you choose the Minke trip you will not regret it. Yongala is awesome, must do!

Glad it's up and running again, it was frustrating. Something to do with having a slightly older (pre AI?) Perdix I believe? How's Jeddah these days? I did my OW at the Al Bilad beach a few years ago when I was working in Riyadh. The Iona wreck at Yanbu was my favourite dive site...

This also happened to me after the software update. Working through the troubleshooting I was able to get it to upload by telling the download dive log I have a Petrel, not Perdix when you are asked to select dive computer (even though it is a Perdix).

Glad you had fun! I drove down the wrong side of the road in Key Largo last year...no harm done...we're all even :-)

It was 24c last week. Most of us were fine in 5mm with hoods.

Agree liveaboard (Mike Ball and Spirit of Freedom) are the best way to see the reef. If you do day trips from Cairns, I like Tusa 6 or Prodive.

The diving in Saudi is mediocre at best? The Iona wreck off Yanbu is one of my all time favourite dives. Sadly out off reach since final exit. Farasan Islands are excellent.
