My dad (divemaster and trip planner) sent me the 2020 form. 😂😂 But it's the one I have signed. So is that going to be a problem now? It took forever to get this one signed and I really don't want to do it again if the form I have will be fine.
Has anyone ever had a dive operator reject their medical form because
1. The medical provider was not an MD or DO, but was instead a PA or NP?
2. The medical provider signed the form electronically and you had to print it out?
3. The medical provider used the wrong date format (mm/dd instead...
Santa is considering bringing my dad a new phone for his SportDiver housing. He doesn't use his primary phone for diving and the old phone he has been using is starting to have bad battery life. He loves the SportDiver. Does anyone have a phone that they really like for it and that hopefully...
I usually French braid my hair and that controls the tangles, but the baby hairs around my temples keep getting caught in my mask straps. How do I keep them under control without interfering with my mask seal?
Thanks for replying so quickly to my post and my email! I don't have my Puck in hand yet, so it might be a little while before I can do some brainstorming.
Yeah the weather is not great. We only did one dive yesterday (out of 3 we had planned) and people who never get seasick were barfing. All the dives today got cancelled because of lightning. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the rest of the week. I will be really sad if I have to finish...
We are going for an adaptive dive camp with Home - Adapt-Able Foundation | Adapt-Able Scuba Diving
My dad is a divemaster with the organization and my son and I are tagging along.
I know about Diver's Direct, but is there anywhere else I should go to browse and put my hands on a bunch of different gear? Favorite spot for bargain finds? We have a free day before we head to Key Largo and I am itching to shop!
I've watched a couple of videos that say to use a nylon string and a lighter to melt the ends. that sounds complicated and not particularly sturdy. Is that really the best way? I haven't seen one where they also use a wrist lanyard. Should I just do both? Can I just get an appropriate nylon...
It will be my primary. I also have a backup that I need to figure out how to attach, but I don't even have a bolt snap for it yet. 😂
Would a nylon zip tie be appropriate for attaching the bolt snap?
I get it, but when looking at a person in a wetsuit, you don't know how much muscle is under their fluff. My son is definitely not skinny or obviously muscular, but he is super dense. He's been on a swim team but still can't float on his back. It's like he's carrying an anvil in his pocket. 😂
Explain it to me like I am 5! I have a shiny new dive light (Orcatorch D550) and the kit comes with a wrist lanyard and a bolt snap. What is the best way to attach both of these items? Is attaching the bolt snap to the lanyard just begging to lose the light? Should I use a split key ring to...
I'm definitely plus sized and they always want to start me with 12# and I say "LOL no. Start me with 20#" and that's with the 3# of ankle weights I bring with me. Even then, I usually need a other 2-4, and that's without a wetsuit.
I'm doing my Peak Performance Buoyancy adventure dive as...
