And that's a possibility as well. As a long time Disney Annual Passholder and Vacation Club member, I can definitely say that there's been a renewed push to nickel and dime every single thing they can. If there's an extra penny to be had, they're going after it.
However, I have to say that...
My dive was just a couple of months ago and they were quite clear that the dive did NOT include park admission, but as an annual passholder it made no difference to me. I had a later dive, but when done they did make all of us go back outside the park.
When I was there they told us that they...
Yeah, the entrance and exit is to the side of the park right outside the entrance. If you have a Disney Visa card you can get a discount on the price.
I did this dive recently and, of course, my favorite part was seeing my toddler and wife on the other side of the glass. The dive itself was...
Argggh, don't let the D6 cult suck you in! Just kidding, I did my research and, being one to over research everything, had spreadsheets to compare costs, read countless reviews, and scoured the intrawebs for any details I could find. In the end, I ended up going with the Deep6 signatures. I...
Sounds like it's sort of a mess, though I get it. So, I've completed my Navigation dive and one other adventure dive with my current LDS. Is it common for them to accept if I do two additional adventure dives elsewhere and then complete my deep water dive with them? Or, is that unheard of as...
So, I signed up for PADI AOW at my LDS and took the navigation and search/rescue dives. I also got the AOW book. However, I'd like to finish my remaining dives at another shop because circumstances changed right after I signed up and now I can't take the remaining dives with them. They prefer...
We shall see how it goes. I picked up a Guru w/o for $215, so now I'm just waiting for it to be delivered. It's not a widely supported brand and their website leaves much to be desired, but it looks like I have places in my area should I need them for support. Unless there are any problems, I...
I've considered the Ratio, so the Guru would definitely be one to look at. How is their customer service? I looked at the manual and it appears to be running the Buhlmann ZHL-16 B algorithm. As a newer diver I know that sort of stuff is still a bit above my head, but it's something I'll need...
I'm still building up my funds, so I've got some time and still open to several choices. I've reviewed the ones mentioned so far and they seem promising. Plus, right after the DEMA show there will be black Friday sales, so hopefully some good things come out of that. I'd buy now if I could...
I'm working on budgeting for my first dive computer and could use some sage wisdom from those with experience on here.
A little background - I'm newer to diving but have no plans to pursue any sort of career or get into tech diving. I don't want the simplest computer on the market I could...
I agree that it's a good feature to save the battery, but how would the user know that the battery in the transmitter may need to be replaced if they are prepping for a dive beforehand and may not have tanks available? I have yet to purchase a dive computer, so I'm in the researching phase on...
LOL. Streamlining is just a different way of setting your regs up with shorter hoses and routing. You donate your primary second stage and have the backup under your chin as opposed to further down on the body. Because you donate your primary, the hose is longer and the backup is on a shorter...
Thanks. I've seen good and bad on the DIN-to-Yoke connectors, but would probably get one from Dive Gear Express. I'd rather have the ability to use my gear everywhere I go.
Thought of one more question... In getting my regs, should I get Yoke or DIN and just buy a DIN-to-Yoke adapter? I'll mainly be diving in the US, but for those rare times I may want to go elsewhere I don't want to be limited.
