I have the D6 reg.set and love it, as well as the excursion. I'll actually be passing on the peregrine and getting a divesoft freedom most likely. The peregrine is missing tri-mix, or I'd be all over it :)

Just had my girl tell me where I was trim wise. We just found our gopro, so that's my goal on our next trip.

I unfortunately was very head down to start because I had read that it would feel that way. Apparently I over did it and ended up head down after all! Haha

I wish my instructors would focus on trim, a lot of the people in my class look like this _/` I showed my girl a picture of correct trim and asked her to help me figure out if I was up or down (she did the class at the same time). Having that aid during pool sessions helped a lot.

Not at all. I enjoy the learning just as much as I do the practice. I'd rather do my best to learn once than have to do with re-learning everything or fixing bad habits later. Not necessarily caves, but deep wrecks have a lot of appeal to me (even more so because 99% of the world will never see...

I agree completely, I was actually under-waited for this dive in a full 7mm, hood, gloves. I used zero air in my BC the entire dive and I was neutral at the start, but positive at the end (AL tank) with 14lbs in a hydros. My main focus is trim, finning techniques, and controlling subtle changes...

Just did my longest dive (my 5th dive). I managed to get 57min from a ~2900psi fill al80. Returned with 300psi. 56°water at an average depth of 25ft. Does this seem high? How long do more experienced divers see? I was towing our dive flag, and had to pickup a rock to carry with me the last 5min...

For a 7' primary. Where is the proper location to put the bolt snap on the hose? Same for the SPG :)

Ended up starting with a hydros pro since I used it through my entire OW. Got a great price on it, and since I'm familiar with it I can focus on other things while in the water. I plan to build a DIR setup for future use, and will build towards that setup with the hydros (accessories, regs, hose...
