One more point to consider. With the Halcyon Single Tank Adapter, you add an addition of 2-3 pounds of weight to your back. I am 5'8", 140 lbs in 3mm wetsuit. I do not need any additional weights. No weight belt. So Free :D
I have used the Halcyon Eclipse for 2 year 50 dives, and an Oxycheq only once. Between the two, I like the Halcyon better. It has a faster and more responsive inflater with a thicker tube. Fell better in the hand. Just an opinion from a newbie.:D
For the past month, I have tried to find information on taking DSAT Tec Deep Dive course after two angiplasty stents implantation with no result. Even my cardiologist has no solid comment. I had 2 stents implantation 10 years ago, and since then. I have been doing a lot of exercise running and...
Thanks for the reply. I am interested in the Darkbuster 24W HID light, or even better, do you have something with the same lumen in LED. It seems that LED is getting more popular with scuba diving light.

Maybe you can send Brightstar a picture of your light bulb to see if they have the exact model and foot. This Taiwanese company may do a lot of OEM HID light bulb. They even have their own dive light.
:cool2:
Jewls, Happy to know that you are all set to go. I have a deviated septum and allergy too so my doctor prescribed a nasal decongestant called Afrin http://www.afrin.com/ for my diving use. Maybe you can give it a try if you don't want to take something that make you feel drowsy. I only use it...

I used to have exactly the same problem just after I got my OW cert. But after a while you will become more confident and comfortable in the water. Both the equalizing and the panic you feel when removing the mask will go away. For the equalizing, I used to hold only the tip of my nose because I...

I am trying to find a bright non cannister primary light, and I came across the above HID light 3200 lumens by Larson Electronic. Does anyone has an experiences with this light? Is it the brightest non cannister light in the market?
Any information and comment will be helpful.:D
I used to dive in a back inflated BC Seaquest Balance for a while, and it did have a tendency to push my face forward while resting on the surface especially when the BC is fully inflated. At the same time, I have a little difficulty putting it on in the water. It is hard to get the balance...
I am using the new Suunto Vyper Air with wireless transmittor. It is pretty good. Much bigger and easier to read than the D9. You can also check out their new Suunto HeLO if you go for technical diving.
I have exactly the same set up as Maui Bound. The Suunto SK7 is much better, and it will give you the whole picture of North, South, East, and West. Some how it gives me more the sense of direction with the regular compass. If you can get a bungee mounting from Deep Sea Supply for the SK7, the...
