Suit filed in case of "Girl dead, boy injured at Glacier National Park

    183. As the students were prepared for their training dives on the shore of Lake McDonald, Defendants, Snow and Liston, discovered for the first time that the low-pressure inflator hose on the Gull Dive regulator they had rented to Linnea did not have a connector that was compatible with the...

Suit filed in case of "Girl dead, boy injured at Glacier National Park

If a root cause analysis was performed, I’m fairly certain that instructional quality would be an elemental factor.

Suit filed in case of "Girl dead, boy injured at Glacier National Park

I’ve been meaning to log in ScubaBoard to see if this accident had been discussed since it happened, but just did tonight (long and complicated story). I found this 7 hours ago and have now read the entire court filing, most of it twice, and all this and the thread in accidents. I keep coming...

Which mask would you recommend to Michael Schumacher?

I don’t use Facebook, so couldn’t follow the link, but I’m presuming from the previous posts that the mask fit test involves pulling a vacuum in some way, and I apologize if this is redundant. I have always just flipped the strap to the front of the mask, used my tongue to block off the roof of...

History for sale (I’m not selling it)

I quite enjoyed it, thanks for doing so. Gear for that period of diving history was the frontier of invention, and more imaginative than most of the modern engineering wonders that we take for granted today.

It appears that mine are an older generation if they are MR12s. The pics that I’m finding have a concave curvature at cap of the regulator body, and mine are conical and flat.

Thanks very much! I’m curious if the internals match up. I suspect it might be a copy by another company. I’m certainly no historian on the topic, but gathered from watching posts over the years that Dynasub sourced parts from many places (hence the Superflow seconds), and many companies in...

It appears that frogkick is no longer a good source of old manuals. Anybody have a pdf to share for MR12 III?

Thanks, that is at least the closest thing I’ve seen. I was thinking that they were probably Italian. Might be time to go after one with a parts cleaner and a micrometer and see what’s inside.

    Today’s regulator

I found the horse collar and Conshelf at a garage sale in Bigfork, MT for $50 a couple summers ago, all in mind blowingly good condition. Always wanted to try that system out, and honestly, it’s not as awkward as I thougt it might be. There was a pretty sweet Dacor three window mask and can...

    Today’s regulator

Yep, she’s still seaworthy (or lake worthy in these parts). I did pop the CO2 cartridge and leave it in to plug the hole. Seemed like an accident waiting to happen.
