    Dive op at Banyan Bay?

Peterbj7, Thanks for the reply. I should have looked a bit closer at some of the other postings. Does Bottomtime have a good reputation? We'll be at Banyan Bay, so it would be very convenient. Thanks! Rob

    Dive op at Banyan Bay?

Can anyone tell me the name of the dive operator on the pier at the Villas at Banyan Bay? Are they independent or is it just a booking service? Thanks! Rob

    Snorkeling without a charter?

Hello all, My wife and I are planning a seven night trip to AC with our two children ages 11 & 15. We'll be staying at the Villas at Banyan Bay. Can we snorkel anywhere close by without taking a charter out to the reefs?

A/C resort with pool food and drink on site?

I've got the same situation here. My family and I are going to be going to Ambergris for the first time this August. She and my 11 yr old daughter like the pool and a comfortable room and my son and I want to dive. We were looking closely at the Villas at Banyan Bay and Pelican Reef Villas...

    Leaky Si-Tech inflator valve

Thanks Dave, I forgot to specify that it is a water leak. I assumed it would be the valve, but I suspect it's a seam since I can peal it up more than I should be able to. I'm in touch with DOCTORDRY at Whites and I might just replace the valve just to be sure Rob.

    Leaky Si-Tech inflator valve

Hi Tunicates! Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I haven't fully resolved it yet. Actually I haven't tried too hard either. I put up the suit after the last dive and have barely looked at it since. The pictures that Dave4868 sent (thanks by the way Dave!!), don't look like my Si Tech...

    Leaky Si-Tech inflator valve

Does anybody know how to strip down and service a si tech 360deg swivel inflator? I think mine is leaking and I thought it would be worth a clean before having to buy a new valve. If pics were available then even better. Many thanks

    Slime anyone?

    Slime anyone?

I've got kind of an odd question. When I waterski I use a Connelly product called "Binding Slime" to help get into my snug neoprene bindings, (read big feet). It is water soluble and disappears after coming into contact with water. The last time I was diving I was wrestling on a pair of semi-dry...

    Can someone ID this suit?

Thanks for the info! I went ahead and bought the suit on a huge leap of faith, and a very limited budget. I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best. I now Whites makes a good suit, so I hope the age isn't a big factor.

    Need help identifying suit

Can anyone tell me what model Whites suit is in these pictures? The bottom half is neoprene and tho top is a shell. How old is the suit likely to be? Thanks! Rob

    Sea Lion behavior?

Here's a short video of someone having a similar experience to yours. They seem to be quite comfortable with the behavior you are describing. (not too sure I'd be!) You pose an interesting concern, I hope to be diving out of Seward this Fall, and I suppose I might encounter a sea lion or two...

    Hello from Anchorage

Hello all, I'm new to diving, but it's something I've wanted to do for years. I'm signed up to get open water certified in April and I've got a trip planned to Playa Del Carmen in June. I'm looking forward to reading the forums for advice on equipment and techniques. Thanks! Rob
