When Aqua Safari was the house dive shop at Cozumel Palace they did the "pool work" as shore dives... After Aquaworld took over that location, they continued to do so unless you requested the "tank".
Will be there diving 3/28 & 3/29 with Jason and then 3/31 & 4/1 he will pass us off so we can hit the cenotes. Might see you there. Look for two old fat guys that are air-hogs (had him order us some AL 100's) and you'll find us!
Ed Hatfield,
Thanks for the info... Sure they may be in a tank pool and use a central fill station the way they do on Cozumel but it is still real easy in Cozumel to get steel 120's air or nitrox with very little effort. I'm just surprised that in PDC it is much more difficult to do the same. It...
mexico984,
True the lead will go down when we shift to the fresh water dive. When I did my cavern class I found that basically the shift from salt water with steel 120's to fresh water with AL 80's was "lead neutral" for me... The problem is we are both rather short and big around... leaving me...
Hi all,
Will be staying in Playa del Carmen for a week at the end of March and would really like to find a good Dive Op where my buddy and I can get the longer bottom time and reduced lead that comes with steel tanks... In the past few years we dove mostly over in Cozumel with Aldora but this...
Worked just fine for us this year LAX to COZ via Mexico City. Only issue was on return flight they didn't have any US customs forms in English. Very minor issue. Otherwise it was great and I'd sure do it again.
Different strokes for different folks...
My buddy and I made a special request this year to dive all week with Edgar after the great time we had with him last year.
I wonder what issues came up and would be interested in reading the review...
Sometimes people just don't get along.
I just did my AOW with Aldora and had a great time. I did my OW with Aqua Safari 3 years ago (with Ricardo Gutierrez) and while they were great I didn't go with them mostly because they only use AL80's and we wanted to use steel 120's. We never had more than 4 divers with a DM and never more...

While I understand your thoughts... I always figured that in an "Out of Air" situation, comfort is the last thing a Diver needing air would worry about. I know I would find a way to use any damn thing I was given if I was in need. If it were too much of an issue, after the first breath I'd cut...
I'd like Spring Straps... Me Three!
OK just spent a week in Cozumel and had a blast... these fins worked great. Memo at Aldora was cheking them out when I droped my gear at the shop and while telling me he had seen them at a show he hit the release and smacked himself in the head with the...
Well... 85% phosphoric acid can be bought here:
Phosphoric Acid, 85%, 16oz. for sale. Buy from The Science Company.
16 oz. for $19.95 I have never bought from them... just a web search result.
You can get both 5' and 7' hoses from Oceanic that include the swivel for this reg set but they will run you a few extra bucks... around $60 for the 5' hose. I went with the 5 footer and like it a lot!
