1st un-supervised dive today. Had a good time. Used a lot of air :)

00wabbit, this was great to read! I can't think of a more appropriate and meaningful first independent dive. I liked everything about it- choice of location, preparation, planning, following the dive plan, finding a buddy, learning and growing from all aspects of the experience... Congratulations on being a bona fide scuba diver! I'll dive with you any time.

That was a great read, thanks for sharing! You will definitely have a good laugh when you sit down and read this in a year! You did a great job making a solid dive plan, following it, and recognizing your limits. If that's any indication I think you'll make a perfectly good diver! I wish I could say that my first independent dive experiences went half as smoothly as yours

Today was my first official dive without a divemaster or instructor.

Poor viz, bus, hellicopter.... did you dive Dutch Springs ? Good job on an unsupervised dive, everyone need to experience that :)

me... I made myself a promise, I will never, ever, ... ever... subject myself to Dutch Springs again.
