On October 9, 2005 Beth Ann (Palmer) Moore died while diving on the wreck of the SS Hebe. An extraordinary wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend she was an amazing woman with an adventuresome spirit. She was loved in life and is deeply missed by all who were honored to have known her. As far as we know the cause of Beth's death is unknown. This incident is a tragic example of how a healthy, in shape, conscientious diver can do everything correctly and not have a positive outcome to the dive. There is a group of divers that dive the SS Hebe every year on the anniversary of this tragic accident in order to celebrate Beth's life. Also, a memorial has been created for placement near this wreck. Details of placement are still being worked out.
