I figured I'm not above a little cyber begging. I'll be riding in the 2013 Tour de Cure for diabetes research on 8 June 2013 in Indianapolis, IN. I'm not looking for massive donations, If you've got a couple bucks and can sponsor me that would rule. If not thanks for looking.
I've been diabetic since I was 8 years old (about the age my oldest son is). For 28 years I've been lucky enough to not have any complications, which has allowed me to pursue things such as diving. I've never had it hold me back. Not everyone is so blessed. I figure it's time I give back to those who've had a tougher fight. I bet everyone knows someone with this disease.
Ill be riding the 75k (roughly 47 miles) for now, unless my biking buddy can convince me to take on my first century.
