I find a 22" hose to short...'caulk it up for another DIR, one size will fit everyone'-lol. Persl. I find a 24 or 26" much more comfy and effective during a dive.

I'll get some shots tonight. I have all the hoses routed straight down, and once I turn the 24" lp hose to the right and around, like I said it just barely gets in my mouth. The backup second stage wouldn't even sit under my chin, it was pulled to the right the entire time. I'll post some pics but the 27" hose was much more comfortable.

Did you try it in the water, or just on land? If I'm standing on land, my backup reg hose often seems too short, but that's because of the way the tanks pull away from me under gravity. In the water, there's plenty of length.

No I haven't had a chance to get it in the water yet, since I've been fighting a nasty head cold for a couple weeks. I'm starting to win the battle so hopefully this weekend I can head over to the quarry to give it a shot. I'll take both 24" and 27" hoses with me and try diving them both if I do.
