Nice looking piece of kit.

I believe the Metal Tech limited edition was a fancy version of the V42 1st stage and Proton Metal 2nd Stage.

The "V" designation means that the first stage had the SCS high pressure poppet system which was in production for only a few years.

The MR42/V42 1st stage model differed from other Mares 1st stages in that they used some smaller parts internally. The poppet seat/volcano orifice of the the MR42/V42 was not machined into the body of the 1st stage and is replaceable so one can update this limited edition 1st stage from the SCS poppet system to the "T" (tri-material) poppet system upon servicing. Although the 42 has been out of production for a number of years, there are still service kits available and the 2nd stage can be serviced with kits that are still available for the Proton 2nd stage.

Wish you luck in selling it.
