Ber Rabbit,

I'm gonna be getting some weird looks from my dive buddies/students whenever I'm in the water next! haha! I've gotta give that a try!

It's a fun little exercise! I like to use a little laughter to help my students relax and this little task can do the trick. It's not required so the pressure is off and most students like to see if they are one of the people who can clear the reg that way :) It's cute because you can almost see them sticking their tongue into the mouthpiece while it's in their mouth. They get this really thoughtful expression in their eyes while they gently inhale the first time to see if it worked then if it did this HUGE smile spreads across their face!

Enjoy!

Then because they are grinning so hard, water seeps into their masks and they get extra practice with the mask clearing skills.

Smart, Ber... two skills for the price of one!

I'm with ya Finnatic!!

We had our first pool session last night, and although I couldn't get in the deep end with everyone else, I had a great time paddling back and forth in the shallow end. Having the gear on made it real!!

My only problem so far is I'm not sure I like my new mask. Its the kind that has the side windows and the bend makes a HUGE distortion!!! I'm sure I'll get used to it though.

Happy to be in SCUBA land!!

Laurel :)

I love the enthusiasm of a newbie!! Finnatic, I see you are from south Louisianna?? man if you think that the pool was great, just wait til the first time you hit the OIL RIGS!!!!!!:shark: :clapping: :bang:

Would love to have more info on diveboat charters to Oil Rigs! I think there is a diveshop in New Orleans that arranges them. We are going there Sat. to take a look around, so will find out then. In the meantime, if you have additional info would you post here or PM me? Thanks.
