Diving Destin Jetties on the 24th and diving AL Pnt Jetties and Whiskey on the 25th :)

I'd be interested in Destin Jetties if you'd be willing to put up with a diving "newbie" with < 10 logged dives.

The water over there is probably clear enough to playing around with my canon point/shoot w/ UW housing.

SBM is a great dive buddy he has dove with me and I was really rusty.

Water's clear enough for simple photography equipment, and I'm patient enough for simple divers  Come on out, I'll put up with you and anyone else!

alrighty, it's on my calendar!

I have a calander at home on the fridge.... on the left and right (weekends) is says 'dive' all month long heheeh.

OK SBM, the weekend is approaching... can you gimme some details on where/when/how to get there and where to get setup? Are the tides gonna work out for Saturday, or is that an issue?

Looking forward to Saturday?

Details on dive times, ect here http://scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=180264

In short, we're meeting at 1:30PM at the public access trail head - or parking area. I'll be in a silver Jetta Wagon with 'Bama tags and a dive flag tag up front. Bringing two tanks, but may only do a single dive depending on how quickly(and strongly) the current swaps. Eating at Dewey's By the Sea afterwards.

Directions can be found here, along with some general information on the site(depth, ect). http://scubaboard.com/showpost.php?p=724595&postcount=9

We should have a large-ish group, and we'll probably try to hook everyone up with someone else similarly skilled. We'll dive as buddy pairs, but probably attempt keeping all the pairs together as a group. Gonna do this so that an entire group doesn't have to turn do to the quickest pair of breathers :) Everyone can just turn their dive, as a buddy team, on their own without shortening the group's dives.

You're new, we'll have a few other new divers out. If you're iffy about the dive, I'll dive with you, probably turnaround with you early, lead you back to the beach, surface, get an OK, and continue my dive with everyone else :)

Dang, didn't realize there was a 15 page thread I'm missing out on! Thanks for the info, and I'll be there... 6 foot tall rednecky guy, about 220lbs. driving a brand new Tacoma crew cab hereby dubbed "the redneck limo".
