Ok, hopefully the activities for Friday and Saturday have been enough to whet your appetite. But just in case you need something else to push you over the edge, choose to attend the 4th annual CCR Summit or the Submerge Product Seminar. These two events will take place the last day of the NACD’s 42nd Annual Seminar at Ginnie Springs Outdoors on Sunday, November 7.

CCR Summit

The 4th Annual Rebreather Summit (see flyer below) is sponsored by Rebreather World and will be led by Jill Heinerth and Curt Bowen. Potential topics include exploration issues and modifications, sidemount CCR, and CO2. Plan to meet at the New Devil’s Pavilion from 10AM to 4PM. The registration fee is $10 and includes lunch and refreshments. There is limited space so if you want to attend, contact the NACD Operations Manager, Debra Green, to add your name to the list - manager@safecavediving.com The online registration at National Association For Cave Diving should be available in a few days or you can complete the form at the bottom of this post.

In the afternoon, there will be an in-water session if you would like to test a rebreather or if you need any help to “pimp your rig”. Also, Jill will take photographs so you can see how you look in the water. If you plan to dive in the afternoon, bring proof of DAN or equivalent insurance and a certification card. All water sessions will be in open water.

If you have any questions concerning rebreathers, this summit is the one for you to attend. We are fortunate to have the following rebreather industry manufacturers and leaders on hand for the summit.

Kiss Rebreathers – Brett Hemphill
Optima Rebreather – Dive-Rite – Lamar Hires
Megalodon Rebreather – Innerspace – Leon Scamahorn
Silent Diving’s Inspiration & Evolution Rebreathers – Mike Fowler and Michael Robertson
NEDU – Navy Experimental Diving Unit – Vince Ferris
Palagian Rebreather – Steve Lewis
Sentinel Rebreather
Poseidon Rebreather
Golem Gear Hammerhead – Jakub Rehacek

Submerge Product Seminar

The Submerge Product Seminar will be led by Rodney Nairne and Suzie Dudas. If you want to know how to choose a scooter right for you or how to maintain and take care of your scooter, Rodney and Susie can help. In-water demos will be available and the new Magnus DPV will be available for demos. If you plan to attend the afternoon test diving session, bring proof of DAN or equivalent insurance and a certification card.

Plan to meet at Ginnie from 1PM to 3PM. The registration fee is free to NACD members and seminar attendees. There is a $5 charge for non members that did not attend the seminar. If you want to attend, contact Debra Green to add your name to the list - manager@safecavediving.com
