A Divers life
Diving is a beautiful experience
Starting out on the plane
And waiting for ever it may seem
Talking about it everyday
Can’t wait till it happens
Every day getting up for 5 days straight at 6,7,8 am
You might think it sucks
Till you get in the crystal clear water
You get off the plane to you final destination
You see blue skies
The heat is unbearable
Getting on escalators for baggage claim
Then going to the elevators to get the vans
You need vans you know though
20 – 30 min. to the Beach combers resort
From Fort Lauderdale in Florida
Getting out of the van
Not knowing if your room is ready
Instead you go to the bathrooms to change into your Bathing suits
Get outside in the bright sun
And you get the memo
That we are leaving in 4 min. for the boat
Get the gear from the suit cases into the diving bags
Finally in the van waiting for everyone
When you get on the boat you see a lot of people
Getting the gear out of the van now
Waiting for the caption’s words to bored the boat
Hell in the upper deck
People, people every where
Need weights for the buoyancy problem
People need this, people need that
Sweating so hard people ask if you’re okay
Next thing you know there’s a problem
Meeting new people
Waiting and waiting
You get ready and head for the top …the stern of the boat
Tiring to relax and get a quick tan
Finally we’re off
Going under the bridge that goes up and down
Hearing the caption yell 15 min. And everyone says 15 min. together
By the time you get use to the boat rocking
The waves get you good or should I say soaked
Next thing you know you have 5 min. to get ready to jump in the water
The Capt. Talks about the wrecks n’ reefs
You get teams of 4-5 people
Ready it’s your turn… dive, dive, dive
Wow you made it in
Good, now watch your back
Seeing the world in a different prospective
Now you know what the word Beautiful means
There goes groupers, turtles
A LOT OF FISH
Seeing the though the water that it’s not there
Floating in middle of the sea
Like the clouds
Watching the different divers swim
And interact with the fish
Wanting to see sharks but didn’t
You see divers go up because they suck air like no other
Or there tired
Being the only kid there that loves diving
Being with an instructor that wants to dive with you
Is a honor
Next thing you know you got use to it in the water
Now you got a signal to go up
Now you go up and have to wait
Decompression limit is in
Then it’s over
Time the wait more to go on the boat
Seeing divers ready to go home when you just got out of the water
On the boat, gearing down
Then you hear 15 min. to port
You say O ****
I’m not close to being done
Packing the gear up
Get in the van
Out of the van into the resort
Into bed
The end
Talking so much makes me want to live it again
