I posted this in the Alaska Polar Bears forum, but I always wonder about asking the locals about the local hotels... I mean, they likely never stay there... So I thought i'd try the general travel forum as well.

Does anyone have info on/personal experience with the Super 8 Motel in Sitka versus the Shee Atika Totem Square Inn? We need to stay somewhere one night before a trip on the Nautilus Swell in June. The Inn costs more but I haven't seen great reviews of the Super 8.

Thanks!

I take a very pragmatic view on such things.

In that you're talking about a pillow for one night (if that), as long as it's clean, what do you really care?

I go for price and proximity/access to my next departure point.

How bad can a Super 8 be? Super 8 Sitka (Sitka, AK) - Motel Reviews - TripAdvisor The only negative was due to traveller error.
