No it isn't the dive shop I have no problem there at all... Shops that hydro test will not do any tanks made before 90..... And luxfer had a few failures of that alloy.... it has had 4 hydro's since the origanal date and it has out lived it's usefull life!
 
:depressed: I had to put the first air tank I ever bought into retirement today, Because of it's age and type '84 Luxfer Alum 80 it couldn't sent in for it's hydro! It has been attatched to every bc I've ever worn!! I can't guess about how many cubic feet of air has been sucked out of it......

Cut the bottom off, run a rope thru the neck, hang it from a tree and use it for a gong.
