A7ll port adapter trouble

Upgraded from A7 to the A7ll housing. My 100 to 120 port adapter worked fine on the series 1. However, on the series ll there is a convex molding at the 9:00 position under the red and white logo. This butts up against the port adapter making it impossible to seat the adapter into the housing. Anyone know anything about this?

The A7II takes a slightly different adapter. This is true for some of the new ports as well, there are different ones for each housing.
